Just in case you don’t have enough content on Britain’s Royal Family, CNN is doing a 6 part series that follows each generation and provides insight into how the family progressed into the family that it is today. It’s basically The Crown but real life with no creative liberties taken.
At the time of writing this, 3 episodes have aired and it’s been fascinating and enjoyable to watch. The series goes deep and is really detailed. The presence of LOADS of video and pictures makes it even more engrossing. Another angle I appreciated is having descendants of people from past royals as commentators. For example Winston Churchill’s grandson, Prince George’s speech therapist’s grandson. They speak from a perspective of inside stories and reading their journals.
Narrated by Rosamund Pike, I am looking forward to the rest of the episodes and I am learning some things I did not know before – which is crazy, considering I have devoured a lot of Royal Family content.
